Privacy Policy
1. Privacy at a glance
This website is a plain information site. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking of any kind, and has no contact form, no login and no shop. Nothing you do here is recorded beyond the server log our hosting provider keeps for every website, and that log is deleted after 24 hours.
Personal data reaches us only if you choose to send it — by writing to the e-mail address we publish, or by calling us. The one connection this site makes to another company is loading video preview images from YouTube, which is explained in section 6.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the GDPR is:
Innovative Pyrotechnik GmbH
Steinwerkstraße 2 · 71139 Ehningen · Germany
Phone: +49 7034 25780
E-Mail: info@innovativepyrotechnik.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to do so under Art. 37 GDPR.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel acts as our processor and handles your data only on our instructions, on the basis of a data processing agreement concluded with us pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
Pages are served from Vercel's European infrastructure, so a visit from Europe is answered from within the EU. Vercel is nevertheless a US company, and data may be processed in or accessed from the United States. Vercel is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and additionally relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers. Vercel's own privacy policy is at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
When you access this website, your browser automatically transmits information which our hosting provider stores in server log files. This comprises the browser type and version, the operating system used, the referrer URL, the host name of the accessing computer, the time of the request, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, and the IP address.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the security of our website. The data is not merged with other sources, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Vercel deletes these log entries after 24 hours. We do not extract or keep a separate copy of them, so nothing about your visit remains after that point.
4. Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies. It uses neither local nor session storage, and no analytics, tracking, advertising or profiling services whatsoever. No consent banner is therefore required, and no profile of your visit is created.
5. Fonts
All fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or any other external font provider is established, and no data is transmitted to such a provider.
6. YouTube video preview images
Our Training, Showreel and product pages link to videos hosted on YouTube. We deliberately do not embed the YouTube player, which would open a connection to Google as soon as the page loads. Instead we show a preview image that your browser loads directly from img.youtube.com, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Loading that image transmits your IP address and browser information to Google. We have neither influence over nor access to any data collected in this way. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in presenting our video content in recognisable form while transmitting as little data as possible.
If you click through to a video you leave this website, and Google's own terms apply. See Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Data may be transferred to servers outside the EU; Google relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.
7. Contacting us
This website contains no contact form. The contact controls on our Contact, Products and Downloads pages open a pre-addressed message in your own e-mail programme, or dial a telephone number. Nothing reaches us until you send that message yourself.
If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, we process the data you provide — typically your name, e-mail address or telephone number, company, and the content of your enquiry — in order to answer it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or to pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to us.
We retain this correspondence until it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, and thereafter for as long as statutory retention obligations under commercial and tax law require (generally six or ten years under §§ 257 HGB, 147 AO).
8. Mailing list
Our Contact page invites you to subscribe to occasional product and firmware news. There is no automated signup: the link opens a pre-addressed e-mail, and we add your address to the list by hand on the basis of your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
9. Downloads
Manuals, product flyers and timecode files on our Downloads page are served directly from this website. No registration, and no personal data of any kind, is required to download them.
10. SSL / TLS encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for all connections, for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the https:// prefix in your browser's address bar and by the lock symbol. While encryption is active, the data you send us cannot be read by third parties.
Please note that data transmission over the internet — when communicating by e-mail, for example — can have security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
11. Withdrawal of consent
Where processing rests on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. An informal message by e-mail to info@innovativepyrotechnik.de is sufficient. The lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
12. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights in respect of your personal data. To exercise any of them, write to info@innovativepyrotechnik.de.
Access (Art. 15): to obtain confirmation as to whether we process your personal data and, if so, a copy of it together with information about its origin, recipients and the purpose of the processing.
Rectification (Art. 16): to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed.
Erasure (Art. 17): to have your data deleted, where no statutory retention obligation prevents it.
Restriction (Art. 18): to have processing restricted, for example while the accuracy of data is being verified.
Data portability (Art. 20): to receive data you provided, or that we process on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to have it transmitted directly to another controller where technically feasible.
13. Right to object
Where we process your data on the basis of a legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR. If you object, we will no longer process the data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
14. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority competent for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg
Lautenschlagerstraße 20 · 70173 Stuttgart · Germany
www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de
15. Objection to promotional e-mails
We hereby object to the use of contact data published under our imprint obligation for sending unsolicited advertising and information material. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam e-mail.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the website or to legal requirements. The version published here is the one that applies to your visit.
