FiberCON Bridge
Connect Your Firing Network over Optical Fiber
At a Glance
FiberCON Bridge connects two sections of a Pyrodigital firing network over long distances using optical fiber, making it well suited to stadiums with existing fiber infrastructure and permanent installations such as theme parks. Supplied as a Master and Remote Unit pair, it is available for multi-mode or single-mode fiber to match your infrastructure.
Included Equipment
- FiberCON Bridge pair: 1 Master and 1 Remote Unit
- Universal Charger with country-specific mains wall plug
- USB stick with Operating Instructions and FSK timecode files
- Spare fuses
Operational Role
Connect the FiberCON Master at an available point in the Pyrodigital network, then link it by optical fiber to the Remote Unit. The fiber carries Pyrodigital communication between the two locations while providing electrical separation along the link, and the Master does not need to connect directly to the field controller.
At the remote location, the FiberCON provides a powered Pyrodigital network output for up to 40 firing modules on its internal battery. With a compatible external power supply, it can support up to 128 modules and operate from mains power; contact us to confirm availability in your country. Link monitoring continuously checks communication between the Master and Remote Unit.
FiberCON is available in two fiber versions: single-mode for typical link distances of up to 40 km, and multi-mode for typical distances of up to 5 km. The required version is selected when ordering, as the two use different fiber types and are not interchangeable. Actual distance depends on the fiber, connectors, and total optical loss.
FiberCON can use suitable existing optical-fiber infrastructure, such as installations in stadiums or theme parks, or a dedicated fiber link can be installed. The Universal Charger is supplied, with an optional Universal Case available separately.
System Compatibility
- Field controllers and modules: FC-A, FC-E Raptor, legacy Pyrodigital controllers including FC3, and Pyrodigital firing modules. Plan mixed-generation configurations using the relevant Operating Instructions.
- Accessories: Universal Case, Universal Charger, External Power Supply
